Tom Davis, MPH, is currently the Global Sector Lead for Sustainable Health for World Vision International. He has more than 30 years of domestic and international field experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating MCHN and education programs, and SBC activities in food security, child survival, nutrition, HIV and other projects in 27 countries. He was the recipient of the 2012 APHA Gordon Wyon Award for Excellence in Community-oriented Public Health, Epidemiology and Practice, and was the original developer of the Barrier Analysis methodology and the Education Cascade Group model. He co-led the Food Security and Nutrition Network’s Social & Behavioral Change (SBC) Task Force, served as Chairman of the Board for the CORE Group for 6.5 years, and has been a member of CORE’s SBC Working Group. Tom has been a champion, co-pioneer, and regular author of papers on the Care Group strategy and social & behavioral change.
